Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican American broadcaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter and occasionally host SportsNation. Her first assignment with ESPN in 2016. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta is bilingual since the age of nine. Her skills were instrumental in helping her land her first post as a an assistant to the production team at Univision Miami and Univision Miami, where she was a producer of numerous shows, including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Her next job was as reporter for sports at The CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009 she relocated to Texas into Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting for KNVO TV 48 Univision. In 2009, she moved to Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision and Fox2 News. The duties of anchoring for weather or sports were regularly requested. Then she became anchor and reporter for Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. She was then given larger responsibilities. She wrote pieces on Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS, and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. She also produced Univision 23's local sports program Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. The show was made a anchoring sports for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. In addition, she served as an anchor on sports in Primer Impacto, a magazine program on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' grandparents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd, 1985 in Mexico City. She has a sister. She has an older sister. In 1992, the couple divorced soon after. In 1995, she remarried Fabio Fajardo, a naval engineer who passed away in the year 2006 due to kidney cancer. The couple stayed in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime, where she had been offered an opportunity to work. Antonietta was a senior in high school with an idea of what she would like her life to be, visited Mount Union University to determine whether the university was suitable for her. The result was that she enjoyed the university and that the school had the program she desired. She completed her schooling and was admitted to the university as a major studying media and communication studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station managing director at WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. Her professor urged her to believe in herself and was deeply touched by his passion for journalism.
